I personally am a huge horror fan. I specifically love 1980’s slashers, with things like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Return of the Living Dead, The Evil Dead & Killer Klowns from Outer Space being in heavy rotation on my TV.

When I was growing up, horror was the coolest thing ever. Nothing was cooler. I mean you had Michael Jackson’s thriller on MTV literally every day and Tales From the Crypt filled any dead time I might have in between. This was also the era when Monsters of the Gridiron, Elvira and even locally hosted horror marathon’s where on local T.V. (Ray Adams Toyota of K.C., I’m talking about you).

With that said, I took a huge interest in Loot Crate’s Loot Fright, horror themed mystery box. Not only is it an easy way to get unique horror themed merch delivered right to your door, but its also a great way to help support the people behind those awesome horror franchises, by getting officially branded merch.

So, I decided to pull the trigger on a Loot Fright subscription. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but as a horror fan, I don’t mind that small premium for quality horror stuff from my favorite movies.

I actually was pleasantly surprised here. There is a lot of hate online for Loot Fright and I don’t understand why, because my experience here was quite good. I actually really love the American Werewolf in London hat specifically. Its so comfy. Just from this first box, I can safely say that I’m ready to go ahead and renew my subscription! Good stuff all around.
