Palermo’s Rising Crust Philly Steak Pizza – Video Review

Today I spotted a brand new pizza in my local frozen section, the Palermo’s Rising Crust Philly Steak Pizza. I’ve never tried a Philly Steak & Cheese pizza before, so I got really excited. Naturally I had to give it a shot.

The Palermo’s brand does a lot of creative pizzas and I’ve tried quite a few of their other pizzas in the past, some good and some not so good. I still had my hopes up for this one though, because Philly Steak and Cheese just seems so perfect for a pizza.

In any event, I tried out this interesting pizza creation and you can watch me check it out in the video below.

I wish I could say that this pizza exceeded my expectations, I really do, but I just think this pie needs some major tweaks to its recipe. Firstly, that cheese sauce was just the wrong choice here. Its not really bad, its just not a good match for a Philly Cheese-Steak pizza. Its more alfredo flavored. Secondly, this thing really needs some more steak. Its noticeably short in this regard, especially when compared to the other toppings, onions and green peppers, which covered the pizza. Fix those two problems and I think this would be decent pizza, but as is, I don’t think I would get it again.
