Most Anticipated Games of 2020 & Beyond!

If your a gamer you already know there are an absolute ton of awesome games always on the horizon. This upcoming year of 2020 is no exception. I personally can’t wait for the new batch of digital awesomeness to come our way. They can’t get here soon enough!

Here in this list, I have 12 of my absolute most anticipated titles to soon grace us with their presence in 2020. Check them all out and enjoy!

Witchfire

For all of you that remember PC games like Hexen or Heretic, I suspect you’ll immediately fall in love with this game. The creepy atmosphere instantly gave me chills. It reminds me a lot of the modern Doom games, just draped in a fog of atmospheric creepiness. If its anything as good as the footage seen here, it should be an instant classic! Check out the official website here for more information on the game.

Chivalry 2

Who doesn’t love them some good hack and slash?! I personally love it. The brutal face to face warfare of Chivalry is just my taste too! The fighting is intense and one false move and your dead! Just how I like it. You can prepare to sink your axe into this one sometime (of course) next year. For more details on the game, check out this article from Den of Geek.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2

The original Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines was an undisputed classic. I’m sure people are drooling with rabid anticipation for this one. All the recent info about the game leads me to believe that it will be very much like the first, with most or all of those amazing clan “bloodlines” returning! Check out the official website here for more info!

Bless Unleashed

Bandi Namco are one of my favorite publishers. They helped titles like Dark Souls and Tekken become household names, so whenever a title from them hits the shelves I take great notice.

I also love action RPG’s, so this type of game is right up my alley. It also looks amazing visually. If your an XBox One player, this seems like the fantasy hack and slash game you’ve been looking for! Check out more info about the game here on their official website!

Beyond Good and Evil 2

People have been waiting for this one forever!! The first trailer came out at E3 2017 and I honestly have been excited ever since. Luckily the developers have been steadily feeding us updates on the game and it looks to be shaping up quite well. I can’t wait to be planet hopping with all my anthropomorphic friends sometime next year. For more information, check out this article from IGN.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

Here we have the return of a classic. If you love the spongy charm of this little yellow, pineapple dweller, you should be excited because the entire game is getting remade from the ground up. It’s also coming to pretty much ever modern console and even the PC, so don’t worry. For more information on the game, check out this article from IGN.

Skull and Bones

Born from Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag’s success, this pirate simulator has been in the works for years. Sadly though, delays have put the release of this game somewhere in early 2020 at the earliest. Still, the game looks phenomenal and if it plays anything like Black Flag naval combat did, I’m sure players will be very pleased. Check out more information about the game here on their official website.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Talk about the return of an absolute classic! Dungeons and Dragons at it’s absolute finest! Baldur’s Gate is an undisputed cornerstone of classic, digital role-playing games. Find one geek from the 90’s that didn’t play Baldur’s Gate 2 and I’ll find you a liar. It’s return has old and new PC gamers alike, giddy with anticipation, myself included. Check out more information about the game here in this article from Gamespot.

Destroy All Humans! Remake

I have to admit, as soon as I heard the song in this trailer, I was instantly pumped. Rammstein aside, this is still a game people are really pumped for. Firstly, its the return of a classic that’s being remade from the ground up. This usually means its a labor of love, rather than just a lackluster paint-job with higher resolution textures. Its also a game with a huge cult following from the original XBox and Playstation 2 generation. I’m sure there are many people cheering its announcement at this very moment! Check out more information on the game here in this article from IGN.

Predator Hunting Grounds

I may just be behind a desk pushing too many pencils, but I know an awesome premise when I see one. The idea of being able to play as Predator, hunting unsuspecting humans from the trees honestly is an amazing premise. I can’t wait to see some actual game-play for this game. Until then, I will just have to re-watch Predator 1 & 2 on a loop! For more information on this game, check out this article from Playstation.Blog.

Cyberpunk 2077

If you got a pedigree like The Witcher franchise backing you, you can do just about anything you want and people are going to eat it up. Luckily though, CD Project Red chose to go with Cyberpunk, in both name and theme for their next game. I personally love the genre and am excited to see what they will be doing with it. Luckily there is already a wealth of information about the game for anybody to check out. Do so here on their official website.

System Shock 3

To end this list, we have the return of another beloved franchise. The trailer looks to bring those themes of techno-science fiction and horror to a beautiful reality! The atmospheres are dark. The enemies look nightmarish. I absolutely loved what I saw in the Pre-Alpha footage seen here too. For more information on the game, check out their official website here.
