Hello everyone and welcome to my review of Pepperidge Farm Milano dark chocolate cookies!
So, if there’s one thing I know, its that Pepperidge Farm makes some super high quality products. If you’ve ever tried some of their summer sausage gift sets at Christmas, you know what I’m talking about. Because of this, I knew I had to try out their Milano dark chocolate cookies! They where just calling to me from the isles at the store. I absolutely love dark chocolate too, so they most definitely went into my basket.
So long story short, I tried them out and the following is what I experienced!
So the first thing I noticed here was the nice tasting cookie exterior, almost like a shortbread cookie, but a little less crumbly and a tad less sugary.
That initial cookie flavor though is quickly swept aside by a very rich dark chocolate flavor. It really does an amazing job taking over the entire flavor profile too. You’d be amazed how well the cookie part actually stretches out the experience and gives you more time with that wonderful dark chocolate.
They use real dark chocolate here too and it tastes just like Hershey’s dark chocolate bars. You might think that the filling was a cream, like a chocolate version of Oreo or Nutter Butter filling, but its not. This is genuine dark chocolate through and through!
The other thing I noticed here is that these are not overly sugary at all. A lot of times it seems like cookies go a bit overboard with the sugar content, but the sweetness here is much less pronounced. This instead is a rich and subtle dark chocolate experience. I absolutely loved it.
Overall, I really enjoyed these. In fact, I polished off the entire bag. (I’m a bigger gentleman though! As if that’s any excuse!) I would buy these a million times over if I had the money. If you love dark chocolate or the amazing creations of Pepperidge Farms, this will most definitely put a smile on your face. Check them out if your in a dark chocolate mood. Be careful though, you might just scarf down the entire bag!
