Member’s Mark 14″ Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Explosion Pizza Review

There are few things in this world that get my absolute attention. One of those things is a brand new, exciting pizza. While browsing one of my favorite food blogs the other day, I saw that Sam’s Club was offering a limited time Stuffed Crust Pepperoni “Explosion” pizza. As a brand new Sam’s Club member, I knew I had to try it. This is what I experienced.

First Thoughts

Now as you can see from the above picture, there’s a ton of pepperoni on this pie. That is evident before you ever put it in the oven. You have regular size pepperoni slices, larger pepperoni slices, strips and cubed pepperoni pieces. In short, if you love pepperoni, you should be happy with this pie.

As far as the taste of the pie, I have to say, its a sort of mixed bag. The pepperoni here is good and the portions of the pie are pretty great. Its really a quite filling and heavy pie. The main, sauced part of the pizza though could use some improvement. It simply tastes like its lacking in spices. This is true in both the sauce and the crust. If they simply used some generic Italian spices I’m sure it would brighten up the flavors quite a bit. My favorite part of this pie though by far is the stuffed crust. It almost makes up for the overall lack of spices.

Final Thoughts

For the $10 I paid for this pizza, I am neither super pleased or super disappointed. It’s really got some great qualities. The pepperoni here is amazingly ample. The stuffed crust honestly tastes amazing. The overall lack of spices though simply makes this a fairly bland experience. I would say skip it and just get a Pizza Hut stuffed crust or a DiGiorno, especially if you enjoy a more flavorful pizza.
