DiGiorno Spinach and Garlic, Thin & Crispy Pizza Review
I’m a sucker for anything cheesy and made with spinach. There’s just something about those two flavors combining that is truly exceptional. That being said, when I saw the DiGiorno Spinach and Garlic, Thin and Crispy pizza in my Walmart’s freezer, I had to give it a try. Anyhow, I just got done indulging in this spinach and garlic, culinary masterpiece and I would like to share my thoughts with you!
Initial Thoughts
The crust here is not super thin, like a cracker crust. I personally would consider it to be a sort of traditional hand tossed crust, but on the thinner side. The taste of the crust though is genuinely fantastic, almost like a parmesan garlic bread.
The flavor of the main pizza topping area is pretty exceptional. You can really taste those tomatoes and creme fraiche in the sauce. The spinach topping here is also very generous. If you love spinach on your pizza or anything like spinach queso dip, I suspect you’ll love this too. The entire pizza (besides that garlic crust) has a very creamy texture to it. Its also insanely flavorful, almost like a really spinachy and tomato flavored alfredo from a real Italian restaurant.
Final Thoughts
Quite simply, this is a recipe that I think DiGiorno should keep indefinitely. The flavors here far exceeded my expectations. Each individual ingredient of this pizza adds up to something truly exceptional. It simply has blended flavors into something that spinach and garlic lovers will really appreciate. I also was genuinely surprised at how well the creme fraiche complimented everything. I am more than satisfied and would most definitely check this awesome pie out again!
